Land clearing in Harford County that leaves the right trees standing
Overgrown lots, wooded acreage and future building sites cleared down to usable ground. Every job is planned with an ISA Certified Arborist, so the trees worth keeping stay healthy.
Most land clearing companies show up and flatten everything. That's fast, but it costs you shade, privacy, wind protection and property value you can't buy back for decades. Goliath clears with a plan. We walk the property with you, flag the trees worth saving, and then put the iron to work on everything else.
From a quarter-acre lot in Bel Air to twenty acres of overgrowth in Jarrettsville, we clear for building pads, driveways, pasture, views, solar arrays, fence lines and anything else you need the land to do.
What's included
When you need land clearing
- You're building a home, addition, barn or garage on a wooded lot
- Pasture or fields are being swallowed by brush and saplings

- You want views, light and air back on your property
The arborist advantage
Why certified judgment matters here
Clearing near trees you're keeping is where most damage happens. Heavy machines compact soil and tear roots well outside the drip line, and the tree often dies two or three years later. Our arborist-led plan sets protection zones, equipment paths and grade limits before any machine moves.
Arborist consultations →What affects the price
Every property is different, so we price after we see it. These are the factors that move the number:
| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Acreage & density | Thick mature woods take far more machine time than light brush. |
| Stumps & roots | Grinding or pulling stumps adds time; mulching in place costs less. |
| Terrain & access | Slopes, rock, wet ground and tight gates affect equipment and speed. |
| Debris plan | Hauling material off site costs more than mulching or leaving it. |
| Permits & sediment control | Silt fence, stabilization or an approved plan adds cost when required. |

Land Clearing FAQ
How long does land clearing take?
A residential lot is often a day or two. Multi-acre clearing can run several days to a couple of weeks depending on density, terrain, weather and whether stump removal and grading follow. Your estimate includes a timeline.
Do I need a permit to clear my lot in Harford County?
Possibly. Harford County requires development that disturbs more than 5,000 square feet to address sediment control, and larger jobs may need an approved erosion and sediment control plan. We'll tell you what applies during the estimate.
Can you clear around the trees I want to keep?
Yes. That's the point of having an ISA Certified Arborist plan the job. We mark keepers with you and protect their root zones while we work.
